It's a sad day

Its a very sad day when a teacher loses a student.  I'm heart broken to announce the death of Christopher Singleton.  Christopher was in my kindergarten class in 2010-2011.  He was first diagnosed with cancer at the age of two, and had many brain tumors from the time he was four until his death on the afternoon of January 8, 2015.  Christopher was nine years old.  He was a cheerful, happy boy, who loved to play baseball and play with his friends.  His short life made a big impact on many of us.  Rest in peace, Christopher.  We loved you so much!

Holiday Party

THANK YOU so much to all the families who helped provide food, drinks, treats, and adult helpers for our Holiday Party on Thursday, December 18th.  We all enjoyed wearing our pajamas to school and watching "The Polar Express".  (We had listened to the book The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg several times.)  It was a wonderful day!

Matching pajamas!
