FREE PIZZA!

Congratulations to these two girls, who read or listened to, ten books at home during the month of January. They brought in their "Book It" forms and earned a coupon for a FREE Personal Pan Pizza. Thank you to Pizza Hut for providing this wonderful program to encourage our students to read at home.

Please note that two more students earned a "Book It" coupon after this photo was taken.

100 DAYS OF SCHOOL!

Here are a few photos from the 100th day of school,

February 2, 2015.

Stringing 100 Fruit Loops on to a shoelace to make a 100 Necklace.

Eating 100 cupcakes, 100 cookies, 100 cups of juice, and 100 grapes. Thank you to Mrs. Perez for sending the cups and juice. Thank you to Mrs. Wollitz for sending the cupcakes. Thank you to Mrs. Halliger for providing the cookies. It was a great day!

Fill the Hexagons

During January, our students have been learning about both two-dimensional and three-dimensional shapes. They have really enjoyed playing the game "Fill the Hexagons", in which they shake a game cube which contains pictures of the shapes. Students put those shapes on the page, in an effort to see which student can fill their six hexagons first. Our boys and girls are learning that they can combine trapezoids, triangles, and rhombuses to create hexagons!
