Thank you so much to all of the families who provided food for our end-of-the-year class party. The food was delicious, and we all had a great time. The children played lots of old fashioned party games, but our photos didn't turn out too well because the children were moving!
Our kindergarten play day was scheduled for the end of April, but was postponed due to inclement weather. It was rescheduled for Tuesday, June 2nd. "Team Doiron" did a great job and had LOTS of fun!
Our East Ranch Kindergarten Awards Assembly took place on Monday, June 1, 2015. Every student earned an award, and every student in our class earned the Sunshine Math trophy!
On Tuesday, May 19th, our students planted bean seeds. On Wednesday and Thursday, our seeds were germinating underground. On Friday, some of them started sprouting. Then we had three days off school for Memorial Day weekend. When we came back to school on Tuesday, they had grown about ten inches!
MRF stands for Materials Recovery Facility. On Friday, May 15, 2015, we took a field trip to the MRF, which we called the Recycling Center. This is where Jacksonville's recycling goes. Our students learned what happens to the things we put into our recycling bins at school and at home.
