Retelling Ribbons

One of our Literature (Reading) standards in the Common Core State Standards states, "With prompting and support, our students will retell familiar stories, including key details".  Our students have been using Retelling Ribbons to practice retelling some of the STAR Books they have heard many times.  The Retelling Ribbons have pictures of the following aspects of the story, which the students must remember to retell: setting, characters, problem, solution, sequence of events (beginning, middle, and ending), as well as the main idea or lesson learned.
