High Frequency Words

During the 2014-2015 school year, kindergartners in Duval County Public Schools are expected to learn to read the first 200 "Fry Words".  These words are listed below.  We will teach the first fifty words (Groups 1 and 2) during the First Quarter, the second fifty words (Groups 3 and 4) during the Second Quarter, the third fifty words (Groups 5 and 6) during the Third Quarter, and the last fifty words (Groups 7 and 8) during the Fourth Quarter.  Students will earn a score in the grade book based upon what percentage they can read during each quarter.  We will introduce the students to 8-10 words  per week, and Mrs. Doiron will list the words for each week on Twitter @DoironKdg.  You can help your child by reviewing these words at home.

I remember these! Your classroom looks awesome as always and I love the blog. The children (and parents) who were assigned to you have won the teacher lottery! At 15 and 10, NKosi and NaJa continue to soar from the foundation you helped build. We love and miss you. Curtina
