Our Jack-o-Lantern

A few days before Halloween our class carved a pumpkin.  Students had an opportunity to pull the "guts" out of the pumpkin and separate the seeds from the "guts".  Students helped choose the shape for the eyes and nose, as well as the number of teeth he had.  We also toasted the seeds (Yes, Mrs. Doiron brought her toaster oven to school.) and enjoyed eating them.  We all agreed that they taste like popcorn.

Can you guess why we named our Jack-o-Lantern "Scar"?
