What activity involves all five of your senses?
Making and eating popcorn, of course.
For a week and a half, our students are learning about our five senses: hearing, seeing, smelling, tasting, and touching. We began popping popcorn in the microwave, not telling the children what we were doing. They began to hear and smell the popcorn, and guessed what was being made in the classroom. After opening up the bags, students got to see, touch, and taste the popcorn. They are working in a little booklet where they will review their five senses. Be certain to look at it when it comes home.
Perhaps you can hear, smell, see, touch,
and taste popcorn at your house!
